    Aurora Economic Development Council Confirms 2017 Board of Directors Officers

    AURORA, Colo. –The Aurora Economic Development council (AEDC), a public/private partnership dedicated to enhancing the economic strength of the City of Aurora by driving growth and retention of primary jobs, confirmed its 2017 Board of Directors Officers by vote on February 7, 2017.
    The new officers are as follows: 
    • Board Chair – Jerome Davis, Regional Vice President, Public Service Company of Colorado, an Xcel Energy company
    • Board Chair-Elect – Steve Coffin, Managing Principal, GBSM, Inc.
    • Vice Board Chair – John Moore, Principal/Director of Civil Engineering, Martin/Martin Consulting Engineers
    • Board Secretary – Wayne Barrett, Vice President, Market Officer, ProLogis
    • Board Treasurer – David Patterson, Chief Executive Officer, Falck Rocky Mountain
    Rita Connerly, Partner at Fairfield and Woods, P.C. is the outgoing 2016 Board Chair.  Jerome Davis, Regional Vice President for Public Service Company of Colorado, an Xcel Energy company was confirmed in this role for 2017.  
    At Public Service Company of Colorado, Davis has executive leadership responsibility for the management of community relations and economic development, as well as local government affairs in 165 Colorado communities located throughout the state. He oversees the managed accounts of the company’s largest business customers in Colorado, which together comprise more than $1 billion in annual revenue. 
    Under his guidance, Xcel Energy has built a solid and well-earned reputation for community involvement. The company’s charitable giving foundation, which is supported by shareholder investments, has made substantial investments in focus area grants to support and promote workforce development, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, environmental stewardship and access to the arts. 
    Davis earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and computer information systems and a MBA from Regis University.  He is also a Walter Kaitz Foundation Fellow.  He has long been active in the community and is currently a board member of the Metro Chamber Economic Development Corporation, as well as Visit Denver, Colorado Health Foundation, Aurora Economic Development Council and the Denver Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy. He is a graduate of the Leadership Programs for both the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and Aurora Chamber of Commerce.
